Our Journey with Portuguese Water Dogs

My lifelong love for dogs led me to the wonderful world of Portuguese Water Dogs (PWDs) in 2011, when we welcomed two males into our family. Their intelligence, energy, and unwavering loyalty captivated me from the start.

A pivotal moment came a few years later when I began a mentorship with my breeder, Carolynne Issa. This experience opened up exciting new avenues, culminating in the arrival of our beloved Lily in December 2017. Lily became the foundation of our breeding program, whelping and raising three litters in our home. Through Lily, I discovered the world of conformation, water work, and the vibrant PWD community. I am incredibly grateful for the knowledge and insights shared by experienced breeders who have generously guided me.

Our pack has grown to include Gibson (Lily's daughter), Harper, and Mia. Life with these girls is a joyful whirlwind, filled with activity and immeasurable love.

In October 2022, Lily officially retired from breeding, but she continues to thrive as a cherished member of our family. She enjoys agility, water work, and giving back to the community through the St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

My love for Portuguese Water Dogs has only deepened over the years, and I am honoured to be part of this remarkable breed's story.
